Early White Settlement in Australia

In 1788, Australia began it's first penal colony. On the 29th of May that year the first conflict between early white settlers and the aboriginal people arose, and many more conflicts and battles occurred, impacting on the aboriginal people, the natives to Australia. Violence was not the only aspect that declined the aboriginal's population, aspects such as sickness and disease, as well as policies the settlers made towards the aboriginal people in bias perspectives. These factors are described and expressed by aboriginal poets through bush poetry and ballads.
